You're on the team

Well, we're back from vacation, and it was GREAT! We went up to Alaska, courtesy of/with David's family (more pictures to come), and it was awe-inspiring to see some of the sights up there. On our way back, I was reading a book called Spiritual Warfare for Every Christian by Dean Sherman, and it totally affirmed the part you all play on our ministry team. Here's a quote.

Is it a strange, new idea to pray for a country you've never been to? Does it seem odd to read about some tiny tribe in National Geographic, and then take that tribe earnestly before God in prayer? ...In light of the Great Commission to "Go into all the world," praying into all the world should be our first response and our first commitment to win the world to Christ. Praying for people around the world is the responsibility of every Christian.

We're thankful for a team that gets the power of prayer! Here's our praises and prayers this week:

*Praise: a relaxing, safe time with David's family on our vacation to Alaska!
*Praise: That God is totally in control. Example? Someone sent in a gift for our outgoing costs because our prayer letter blew into his yard while he was mowing the lawn. Coincidence? I think not.
*Praise: That though it seems slow to us, our support is rising...monthly stands at 73% for the moment.
*Request: Fruitful appointments this week, focus/heart/courage for us, glory for God.
*Request: Wisdom on a departure date, if we need to re-evaluate. (We can't leave until we have 100%.)
