Ministry Spotlight: Disaster Relief

One of the things we do in Haiti is disaster relief, following the annual hurricanes that come through. We're in a good position to function as the "hub" for many organizations to coordinate their efforts, because we have a base in Port-au-Prince. The planes allow us to get food, clean clothing, medical supplies, and clean water to people who have been isolated due to flooding or have lost their homes. Last year, 20,000 people lost their homes and 800 were killed as Hurricanes Fay, Gustav, Hannah, and Ike came through at various stages in their development. Some said it was the worst flooding in 50 years.
